Wipro GE Healthcare’s ‘Health Yatra’ Brings Healthcare Technology to Underserved Communities in West Bengal
- Aligned with the Government’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the ‘Health Yatra’ campaign targets underserved communities by engaging frontline clinicians and raising awareness about advanced ultrasound and patient care solutions.
- The Yatra began in Mathura in September 2024 and has since traveled through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand, covering 55 districts.
- Now progressing through West Bengal, the campaign continues its mission to enhance healthcare access, with its latest stop at Sharanya Multi-specialty Hospital in Bardhhaman.
Bardhhaman, INDIA, 6th March 2025: Wipro GE Healthcare, a leading global provider of healthcare technologies, continues its ‘Health Yatra’ across West Bengal. The initiative, which aims to raise awareness about the impact of advanced technology in diagnosing and treating patients in tier 3 and 4 cities with limited healthcare infrastructure and access, aligns with the Government’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. It seeks to expand access to high-quality patient care by educating frontline clinicians on utilizing advanced ultrasound and patient care technologies to improve diagnostic accuracy and streamline clinical workflows.
After starting in Durgapur, the ‘Health Yatra’ has now reached Sharanya Multi-specialty Hospital in Bardhhaman, showcasing state-of-the-art med-tech devices and facilitating interactive product demos, informative sessions, and collaborative opportunities for clinicians and industry experts to discuss healthcare challenges and solutions.
The five-month experiential healthcare yatra began in Uttar Pradesh, moved through Bihar and Jharkhand, and now continues across West Bengal. By fostering knowledge-sharing and building clinical capabilities, the initiative is improving patient care and diagnostic outcomes in underserved regions.
