RTI Activist Tej Pratap Singh’s Press Conference Against ideaForge Collapses Amid Lack of Evidence; Company Issues Strong Rebuttal

A press conference called by RTI activist Tej Pratap Singh and his legal counsel on Thursday failed to hold ground after the activist abruptly exited the briefing, unable to share proof to his allegations and respond to repeated questions from attending journalists.
The conference, titled “Expose on Dark Chapter in Indian Drone Ecosystem & Shocking Details of National Security Violation by ideaForge”, was expected to present serious evidence on allegations against India’s drone sector. However, no substantiated proof was provided to support the sweeping claims. The lack of clarity and verifiable facts led to growing skepticism in the room, culminating in Singh walking out mid-briefing when pressed for details.
While Mr. Singh raised accusations on ideaForge, a letter from the Ministry of Defense that we accessed called out Daksha Unmanned Systems, Sky Industries and Garuda Aerospace for reportedly selling drones to Indian Defense Forces which include assemble and integration of Chinese components.
In response to the press event and the circulating claims, ideaForge Technology Limited issued an official statement:
“It has come to our attention that misleading information has been circulated regarding the disqualification of our partners in a tender. We would like to clarify that the issue was related to non-critical and optional accesory manufactured by a Swiss OEM, with a country of origin in China. As these were trials of an opportunity they may have asked our partners to fix this for the next iteration. We fail to see how this can be construed as a national security concern. The company has a long-standing track record of participating in such tenders and has successfully won multiple tenders in the past, adhering strictly to all compliance norms.
Regarding the allegations of hacking, the Indian Army has already clarified that the issue was a technical glitch and not a cyber breach. Known phenomena such as cross-border jamming should not be misrepresented as hacking incidents. We hope this clarification helps dispel any misinformation and brings focus back to facts.”
The company reiterated its commitment to national security and its adherence to the highest compliance standards, calling for responsible discourse around India’s critical defence technologies.
