CAPSI Chairman Announces Preparedness of Security Personnel for Potential Nuclear Threat.

New Delhi, May 06, 2025: India – In light of the ongoing geopolitical tensions, particularly the rising
threats of conflict with Pakistan. Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman of the Central Association of Private
Security Industry (CAPSI), assured the nation of the readiness and capacity of our 10 million security
guards and officers.

He said that our primary objective is to ensure the protection and safety of citizens and the valuable
assets they entrust us to safeguard. In response to the increased concerns about potential nuclear
threats, CAPSI has initiated comprehensive measures to equip our security personnel with the
necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergency situations.

He further said that we have developed a detailed advisory for both citizens and security professionals.
This advisory contains essential instructions and protocols to follow, ensuring that everyone is well
prepared and informed about the necessary precautions to take in the event of a nuclear incident. Our
advisory covers:

  • Techniques for recognizing threats and responding safely. – Detailed guidance on utilizing basements as protective shelters and steps to reinforce them against
    radiation.
  • First aid and emergency response procedures tailored to nuclear threats.

Our security personnel are undergoing rigorous training sessions to ensure they are well-prepared to
implement these measures and assist the communities they serve. We understand the vital role our guards
play in not only securing assets but also in educating citizens on safety practices during such
unprecedented circumstances.
