Countdown to Grandeur: Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir Set for Historic Consecration Ceremony

New Delhi: In an important event that will resonate across India, the Ayodhya Ram Temple is all set for the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lala on January 22. The seven-day ritual, begun with a solemn penance ceremony, symbolizes a spiritual journey culminating in a consecration ceremony attended by dignitaries and attendees from diverse backgrounds.

The Pratistha Mahotsav, proposed on January 22, will begin with sacred rituals under the leadership of Anil Mishra, appointed by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. The purification ceremony, Panchagavyaprashana and recitation of Valmiki Ramayana and Bhusundhiramayana began in the Saryu river on Tuesday.

The program on January 17 includes auspicious water procession, Tirtha puja and various ceremonial pujas leading up to the idol yatra of Lord Shri Ramlala at the Prasad complex. Thousands of VIP guests have received invitations, and the Trust has arranged for a warm welcome and special gifts including a symbolic ‘Ram Raj’.

The celebrations will culminate with the consecration ceremony on January 22, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the formal installation of Shri Ram Lalla. The Teerth Kshetra Trust adds a sweet touch, distributing special ‘Motichoor Laddu’ made of desi ghee as ‘Prasad’, adding to the joyous festivities.
