Mumbai Marathon Scheduled for January 19,2025

New Delhi: The 20th edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon, one of India’s most prestigious running events, is set to take place on January 19, 2025. Registrations for various categories of the marathon have officially begun. Amateur runners can register from August 14 until November 30, or until all available spots are filled. This early registration period offers a golden opportunity for running enthusiasts to secure their place in the marathon’s historic 20th edition.

For those interested in the half marathon, registrations will commence on August 23 and will remain open until September 13. Notably, slots for the half marathon will be allocated on a fastest-runner-first basis, determined by the timing certificates submitted during registration. This system ensures that the most prepared runners secure their spots based on their previous performances.

In an effort to promote inclusivity, the organisers have reserved a few spots in the half marathon for Persons with Disability (PwD). Additionally, a limited number of running spots are set aside to encourage more women to participate in both the marathon and half marathon categories. The Open 10K category will be dedicated to charity, with limited places available through an online ballot system. Participants in this category will be selected through a random draw during the ballot period.

Other categories include the Dream Run, with registrations open from November 5 to 25, and the Senior Citizen’s Run, available from August 27 to November 25. For those unable to attend in person, the Virtual Run registration is open from August 14 to January 8, offering a flexible option to participate from anywhere. Charity Running Spots registrations, applicable for the marathon, half marathon, Open 10K, and Dream Run, will be available from August 14 to December 13.

As excitement builds for this landmark event, the Tata Mumbai Marathon continues to inspire runners of all abilities to participate in this celebration of fitness, community, and charity.
