New Delhi: Apple is reportedly developing an innovative device that could reshape the tech landscape. According to analyst Mark Gurman, this upcoming product combines an iPad-like display with a robotic arm, allowing the screen to tilt, spin, and adjust based on user needs.

This device isn’t just another tablet—it’s designed to be the central hub for smart home control. Users could manage smart devices, make video calls, and monitor their homes, all through voice commands with Siri. For instance, during a video call, saying “Look at me” would make the screen automatically focus on the speaker.

Apple project J595

Known internally as project J595, this concept gained approval from Apple’s top executives in 2022, with a potential launch around 2026 or 2027. The device could be priced around $1,000, though details might change.

Apple sees this move into robotics as a new revenue stream, complementing its AI advancements, which will soon be integrated into products like the iPhone and iPad. The company has also explored other projects, like a self-driving car, but this robotic device now appears to be a major focus.

Despite internal debates over the project’s feasibility, The company’s CEO Tim Cook and hardware head John Ternus are strong supporters. Kevin Lynch, who played a key role in the Apple Watch’s success, is leading the project, backed by a team of top engineers and robotics experts.

Apple’s foray into robotics highlights its commitment to innovation, pushing beyond traditional products to create groundbreaking technology.
