New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s highly anticipated film The Buckingham Murders is set to release in Indian theatres this September, following its premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival in 2023. Directed by the acclaimed Hansal Mehta, the film offers a gripping crime thriller narrative with Kareena Kapoor portraying a grieving mother and a tough detective determined to solve the murder of a 10-year-old child in Buckinghamshire.
The teaser, released on Tuesday, showcases a dark and intense storyline set in London. It begins with a child walking in a park, accompanied by a voiceover inquiring about the arrival of a new detective. Kareena Kapoor soon appears on screen, followed by a street scuffle where she is described as “very tough.” The tension escalates with visuals of a blood-stained t-shirt, revealing the disappearance of a child from an Indian family, and Kareena’s character is seen interrogating a suspect.
