Cropin Unveils Revolutionary AI-Powered ‘Sage’ to Transform Agriculture

New Delhi:Agritech firm Cropin Technology announced the launch of ‘Sage,’ an AI-powered platform delivering real-time agricultural intelligence, on Wednesday.

Sage transforms agricultural landscapes into grid-based maps, offering crucial data on cultivation practices, crops, irrigation, climate, and soil. Built on Google Cloud and utilizing Google’s Gemini AI model, Sage brings advanced technology to agriculture.

At its launch, Sage covers 13 essential crops, including wheat, rice, potato, and maize, which together account for nearly 80% of global food demand.

“Sage redefines agricultural intelligence, becoming an indispensable tool for navigating uncertainty and championing climate-smart agriculture, said Cropin founder and CEO Krishna Kumar.

The platform is designed to assist food companies, seed manufacturers, financial institutions, and governments in making data-driven decisions to enhance crop production planning and build resilient supply chains.

Sage can forecast future yields and identify ideal locations for growing crops, addressing global food security challenges. Cropin plans to deploy Sage globally in phases, tailored to enterprise customer requirements and demand.

Cropin claims this innovation will address issues like the lack of transparent visibility into the global agricultural landscape and the need for a robust digital infrastructure in agriculture and food systems.

With Sage, Cropin aims to provide actionable insights that can lead to sustainable and efficient agricultural practices worldwide.
