HONDA ELEVATE PRICE HIKE SHOCKS BUYERS

JANUARY 2026 PRICE REVISION MAKES THE POPULAR SUV MORE EXPENSIVE

Honda has increased the prices of its popular mid size SUV Honda Elevate in India, and the new prices have come into effect from January 2026. This price hike has affected almost all variants, making the SUV more expensive for buyers. The highest increase has been applied to the base model, which is now significantly costlier than before.

Honda Elevate has been one of the most attractive SUVs in its segment because of its reliable engine, strong brand image, comfortable ride, and competitive pricing. However, with the latest price revision, customers will now have to pay more to own this SUV.

In this detailed report, we explain how much the price has increased, which variant has become costlier, the new price list, and how this change will impact buyers.

HOW MUCH HAS HONDA ELEVATE PRICE INCREASED

Honda Cars India has increased the price of the Elevate SUV by up to 60000 rupees. The hike varies depending on the variant. While most variants have seen an increase between 10000 and 13590 rupees, the base variant has received the biggest hike of around 60000 rupees.

The company had announced this price hike in December 2025, and it has now been implemented from January 2026.

BASE VARIANT SV GETS THE BIGGEST PRICE HIKE

The Honda Elevate SV manual, which is the entry level variant, has become the most expensive in terms of price hike. Honda has increased its price by nearly 60000 rupees.

Earlier, this variant was priced close to 11 lakh rupees, but now its new ex showroom price stands at 11.60 lakh rupees. This will impact budget conscious buyers the most.

The SV CVT automatic variant has also become more expensive, though the increase is limited to around 10000 rupees.

TOP VARIANT ZX BLACK ALSO BECOMES COSTLIER

The top model of Honda Elevate is the ZX Black variant. This premium version has also seen a price increase of around 10000 rupees. This hike applies to both the manual and CVT transmission options.

Customers who were planning to buy the top end variant will now need to spend slightly more, although the increase is not as sharp as the base variant.

UPDATED HONDA ELEVATE PRICE LIST

After the latest price hike, the new ex showroom prices of Honda Elevate are as follows.

MANUAL TRANSMISSION VARIANT PRICES

SV new price is 11.60 lakh rupees
V new price is 12.60 lakh rupees
VX new price is 13.75 lakh rupees
ZX new price is 14.98 lakh rupees
ZX Black new price is 15.07 lakh rupees

CVT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VARIANT PRICES

SV CVT new price is 13.22 lakh rupees
VX CVT new price is 14.91 lakh rupees
ZX CVT new price is 16.16 lakh rupees
ZX Black CVT new price is 16.25 lakh rupees

This means the overall price range of Honda Elevate now starts from 11.60 lakh rupees and goes up to 16.25 lakh rupees.

WHY HONDA INCREASED THE PRICES

Car manufacturers often revise prices due to rising production costs. Honda Elevate has become more expensive mainly because of higher raw material costs, including steel, aluminum, plastics, and electronic components. Transportation and manufacturing costs have also gone up.

Another major reason is the removal of earlier tax benefits and discounts that were applicable earlier but are no longer available from January 2026.

HOW THIS PRICE HIKE AFFECTS BUYERS

The biggest impact is on buyers who were planning to purchase the base variant, as they now have to pay 60000 rupees more. This makes the entry level Elevate less affordable for first time SUV buyers.

However, for mid and top variant buyers, the increase is relatively small, so it will not significantly change their buying decision.

IS HONDA ELEVATE STILL WORTH BUYING

Despite the price hike, Honda Elevate continues to be a strong competitor in the mid size SUV segment. It offers a reliable 1.5 litre petrol engine, comfortable ride quality, modern features, and Honda’s trusted brand reputation.

For customers looking for a long term, reliable, and premium SUV experience, the Elevate still remains a good value even after the price increase.

HONDA ELEVATE VS ITS RIVALS

Honda Elevate competes with popular SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. Most of these competitors have also increased their prices recently, so Honda’s price hike is in line with market trends.

However, the higher price of the base variant may push some budget buyers to look at other options.

CAN BUYERS STILL GET DISCOUNTS

Even though Honda has increased the ex showroom prices, dealerships may still offer discounts, exchange bonuses, or special deals to attract customers. Buyers are advised to check with multiple dealerships to get the best possible deal.

FINAL VERDICT

The January 2026 price hike has made Honda Elevate more expensive, especially the base variant which has become 60000 rupees costlier. Other variants have also seen smaller increases.

Despite this, Honda Elevate continues to be a strong, reliable, and premium mid size SUV. For buyers who value comfort, reliability, and long term ownership, it still remains a smart and powerful choice in its segment.
