Mahindra XUV700 Hits 200,000 Sales Milestone, Unveils New Colors
New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra announced that its flagship SUV, the Mahindra XUV700, has achieved a sales milestone of 200,000 units in less than three years since its launch in August 2021. To celebrate, the company introduced two new exclusive colors: Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna.
The Mahindra XUV700 initially rolled out 100,000 units in 21 months and reached the 200,000 mark within 33 months. This impressive sales performance underscores the vehicle’s popularity and strong market presence.
The XUV700 is available with two engine options: a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 200bhp and a 2.2-litre diesel engine available in two states of tune, generating either 155bhp or 185bhp. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic, with an optional all-wheel drive (AWD) system.
The SUV introduced several segment-first features, such as Alexa built-in functionality, Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and dual 10.3-inch HD superscreens. It also received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP, with five stars for adult occupant protection and four stars for child occupant protection.
In January 2024, Mahindra launched an updated version of the XUV700, adding new features like ventilated front seats, memory ORVMs, and a Napoli Black color option. The introduction of new variants such as the AX5 Select, MX 7-seater, and Blaze edition made the XUV700 lineup more accessible and appealing to a broader range of buyers.
The Mahindra XUV700 continues to set benchmarks in the SUV segment with its combination of advanced features, safety, and performance, making it a preferred choice for many customers in India.
