Maruti Suzuki Baleno Leads Premium Hatchbacks with Big June Discounts
New Delhi: The premium hatchback segment in India features strong contenders like the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, and Toyota Glanza. However, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has long been the segment leader, and it is offering significant discounts in June.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre Dual-Jet Dual-VVT petrol engine, generating 89.7PS of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque. Additionally, there is a CNG option that produces 77.4PS of maximum power and 98.5Nm of peak torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) and a 5-speed automatic manual transmission (AMT) with the petrol engine, and a 5-speed MT with the CNG variant.
The claimed mileage for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is 22.35kmpl for the petrol MT, 22.94kmpl for the petrol AMT, and 30.61kmpkg for the CNG MT. The Baleno is available in Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha variants. Below are the variant-wise prices (ex-showroom):

In June, the Baleno MT offers discounts up to Rs 57,100, the Baleno AMT up to Rs 62,100, and the Baleno CNG up to Rs 47,100.
The Baleno was the largest-selling premium hatchback and the second-largest selling car in India in FY24, with 195,607 units sold. With its strong performance and attractive discounts, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno continues to dominate the premium hatchback segment in India.
