Air India Express Fast Tracks Delhi-Ayodhya Route: Reach in Just 80 Minutes! Inauguration Details Inside.

Air India to commence flights to Ayodhya from December 30. 

New Delhi: Air India Express has announced its plans to launch its first flight to Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, prior to the Ram Mandir ceremony. The inaugural flight, connecting Delhi and Ayodhya, is scheduled to depart on December 30. Following the inauguration, daily services on this route will commence from January 16, 2024. The Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya, equipped with an extended runway suitable for A-321/B-737 type aircraft operations, will be unveiled before the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple on January 22. Air India Express recently released a statement detailing the itinerary for its inaugural flight, identified as IX 2789, departing from Delhi at 11:00 hours and arriving in Ayodhya at 12:20 hours.

Similarly, flight IX 1769 will depart from Ayodhya to Delhi at 12:50 hours, reaching the national capital at 14:10 hours. These transport services are expected to facilitate the travel of tourists visiting the Ram Mandir after the consecration ceremony. Air India Express, a subsidiary of the Tata-owned airline, operates over 300 flights daily with a fleet that consists of 59 aircraft.

“Air India Express is excited to commence operations from Ayodhya right after the airport opens. This underlines our commitment to enhancing connectivity from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across the country,” the airline’s Managing Director Aloke Singh said.

In addition to Air India Express, IndiGo has also announced its plans to operate an inaugural flight from Delhi to Ayodhya airport on December 30, with commercial services commencing from January 6.
