Ayodhya Police Prepare for Smooth ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Temple as Inauguration Nears; New Railway Station Gets Ready.

New Delhi: The final stages of preparations are underway for the inauguration and consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which will take place on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with other dignitaries, will attend the ceremony.

Significant progress has been made in decorating the surroundings of the temple. The walls of Rampath, Bhakti Path, and Sugriva Fort are adorned with exquisite terracotta and clay mural artifacts. Depicting scenes from the Ramayana, the murals on the walls of Dharma Path showcase events from Tretayuga.

The temple premises are bustling with activity as painting, cleaning, and artwork are being diligently carried out in preparation for the grand inauguration on January 22. The 13-kilometer-long road, known as Rampath, leading to Sahadatganj, has been widened to 40 feet and both sides of the road have been painted, including establishments, buildings, and shops.

The main entrance to the Ram temple will be called ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path,’ and work is underway to install lighting and canopies along the 90-foot-wide road.

The Ramkatha Museum located at Nayaghat is also undergoing beautification work to enhance the overall appeal of the area.

Ram Ki Pauri, a historically significant site, has been thoroughly cleaned, and the capacity of pumping stations has been increased. Each evening, a captivating laser show presents the Ram Katha, and 37 ancient temples in Ayodhya have been renovated.

Furthermore, the construction of a magnificent railway station in Ayodhya has been completed, showcasing modern architecture and state-of-the-art facilities. Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the station, which is designed to offer convenience to travelers. Plans are in place to introduce train services to Ayodhya from various parts of the country, commencing on January 19, prior to the inauguration ceremony.

Ayodhya will be connected to major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, Nagpur, Lucknow, and Jammu.

The newly constructed railway station features amenities like a food court, air-conditioned waiting lounge, escalators, lifts, and Wi-Fi. Additionally, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will provide round-the-clock catering services for pilgrims.

Devotees from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and Bihar have already flocked to Ayodhya to witness the ongoing work on the Ram temple complex.

In terms of security, strict measures are being implemented. Ayodhya Inspector General (IG) Range Praveen Kumar has announced a new security plan that prohibits unauthorized individuals from approaching the temple without undergoing security checks. Multiple checkpoints will be established, and 2,500 CCTV cameras will be installed. Unapproved drone flights will be prohibited in Ayodhya, and enhanced security will be deployed along the riverbank.

To support tourists and devotees in navigating the holy city, the police department intends to place signage and direction boards throughout the roadways. Furthermore, in order to ensure smooth traffic flow during the special occasion of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the Ram Temple on January 22, the police department is making traffic arrangements. Signboards will be installed in different languages, including widely spoken languages like Tamil and Telugu, to cater to devotees from various parts of the country.

Designated routes leading to the main temples will be marked, and arrangements will be made for the movement of devotees along these routes. Vehicle access will be restricted in areas where devotees are walking to avoid congestion. The ADG of Lucknow Zone, Piyush Mordia, stated that plans are being formulated according to route requirements, which may include limitations on e-rickshaws in certain areas.

With Prime Minister Modi’s presence, the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple on January 22 promises to be a momentous event, expected to attract dignitaries and individuals from all walks of life. The meticulous preparations demonstrate the collective efforts aimed at creating a memorable and auspicious occasion in Ayodhya.
