Delhi BJP’s Unprecedented Move: Door-to-Door Invitations for Historic Ram Temple Inauguration
New Delhi: In an unprecedented initiative, the Delhi BJP is set to launch a door-to-door invitation campaign, personally welcoming citizens for the important inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva revealed the strategy during a meeting. Major organizational meeting, announcement of extensive outreach from January 1 to January 15.
The formal inauguration, called ‘Ram Utsav’ by the party, will allow devotees to visit the newly constructed temple after the consecration of the idol of Ram Lalla. Sachdeva outlined plans to connect with temple committees, ensure festive decorations and provide a platform for party leaders and workers to listen to the Prime Minister’s address in Ayodhya.
To maximize participation, large LED screens at key locations will telecast the inauguration ceremony, while the markets of Delhi will be festively decorated. Sachdeva stressed on careful planning, including arrangements in every ward of the national capital, to facilitate devotees for darshan of the Ram temple in Ayodhya after the inauguration.
Addressing the meeting, senior BJP leaders including BL Santosh and Baijayant Panda outlined the party’s preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Santosh acknowledged challenges on political and ideological fronts but expressed confidence of an easier victory than in 2019.
Delhi’s commitment to secure all seven Lok Sabha seats for the third consecutive time was reiterated, with discussions being held on ongoing campaigns, special occasions and awareness initiatives, especially the campaign on Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Santosh urged the workforce at 13,000 party booths to ensure success in the ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and booth empowerment campaigns.
Baijayant Panda highlighted the positive atmosphere created by the recent state assembly victories, and stressed on efforts to connect with the beneficiaries of government schemes to increase the victory margin in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. As Delhi BJP is spearheading this unique invitation campaign, the city expects an inclusive and enthusiastic celebration on the occasion of the historic inauguration of Ram Temple.
