Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) on Wednesday released another set of images of Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander. The images were clicked by ‘co-traveller Pragyan’ on the lunar surface around 11am this morning.

Sharing the photographs through its official handle on X (formerly Twitter), ISRO said, “Pragyan Rover clicked an image of Vikram Lander this morning. The ‘image of the mission’ was taken by the Navigation Camera onboard the Rover (NavCam).”

According to information from ISRO, the most recent coordinates of Chandrayaan 3 are approximately 69.373 S, 32.319 E. These coordinates closely match the intended landing site dimensions of 4 km x 2.4 km located at 69.367621 S, 32.348126 E. An image released by ISRO showcased two important instruments from the Vikram lander: the Chandra’s Surface Thermo-physical Experiment (ChaSTE) probe and the Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA) probe. The Pragyan rover boasts a pair of front-facing navigation cameras. The data captured by these cameras is processed at ISRO’s Space Applications Centre situated in Ahmedabad.
