Ola restarts carpooling service after 4 years

New Delhi: Ola has officially relaunched its carpooling service, ‘Ola Share,’ according to Moneycontrol. This move comes nearly four years after the service was discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of the company, announced the return of the carpooling feature during the company’s annual community event, ‘Sankalp,’ held on August 15. He stated, “We are bringing back Ola Share to offer cheaper rides. The new experience is enhanced with an AI-driven algorithm, and we plan to expand to other cities soon.”

Enhanced Experience with AI

The revamped Share promises a more efficient carpooling experience, leveraging advanced artificial intelligence to optimize ride-sharing. The aim is to provide lower-cost travel options while improving user satisfaction.
