Mumbai: As part of its unique program to equip delivery partners with lifesaving skills, Zomato, India’s food ordering and delivery platform, has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest first-aid lesson at a single venue. This record-breaking event took place yesterday at Nesco, Goregaon in Mumbai, where over 4,300 dedicated delivery partners gathered for the world’s largest on-ground first-aid training program. Sponsored by Raft Cosmic, with Feeding India as the nutrition partner and Medulance as the training partner, the event aimed to provide professional and certified training in medical first-aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Esteemed guest Mr. Anil Kumble graced the occasion.

In addition to the comprehensive first-aid training, Zomato selected five promising delivery partners to collaborate with their team for two months at the Gurugram headquarters. These delivery partners will share their ideas to enhance services and offerings for the larger delivery partner community.

Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, CEO of Food Delivery at Zomato, remarked, “Through our first responders training program, we’ve trained over 30,000 delivery partners across 45 cities in medical assistance over the past few months. Today’s turnout of over 4,300 delivery partners is a testament to our efforts, and we are immensely proud. This has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest first-aid lesson at a single venue! We are committed to finding innovative ways to ensure the well-being of both delivery professionals and the communities they serve.”

The event also recognized outstanding performances among the delivery partners through rewards and recognition. They had the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the esteemed guests. Chief guest Mr. Anil Kumble shared valuable insights on the importance of safety and first-aid training in emergencies. The event concluded with the distribution of special signed helmets by Mr. Anil Kumble, along with first-aid kits and certificates, reinforcing Zomato’s commitment to safety and recognition.
