New Delhi: Vikramaditya Motwane’s upcoming cyber thriller CTRL, starring Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat, is set to debut on Netflix on October 4. Produced by Saffron and Andolan Films, the movie explores the complexities of modern digital life. Panday and Samat portray Nella Awasthi and Joe Mascarenhas, a romantic couple popular for their online content. However, the story delves into the challenges they face after their breakup, raising questions about the extent of sharing in a world where data equates to power.

Motwane, known for acclaimed films like Udaan, Lootera, and Trapped, explores whether individuals are truly in control of their digital lives or if they are being controlled by them. Producer Nikhil Dwivedi notes that CTRL offers a ‘thought-provoking narrative’ in a unique format, evident in every frame. Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India, praises the film as a genre-bending thriller that both shocks and captivates, with Panday’s portrayal adding depth to the drama.
