Busan Film Festival 2023 – “Scoop” wins best series award

Delhi: Karishma Tanna attended the Busan international Film Festival 2023 which was held in South korea. She attended the event for the Netflix drama Scoop directed by Hansal Mehta. This series has been nominated for the best Asian series and best lead actress categories. She shared a glimpse of the festival and Busan country.

One of the most celebrated cinematic events in Busan and the award goes to Karishma Tanna who played the character of Jagruti Pathak.

Basically, Jagruti Pathak was a senior crime reporter. She quests for justice in a politically tumultuous nation. In Scoop, she deserves the award for the best lead actress. The character of Jagruti Pathak was incredibly very strong and she did it very nicely and appreciated it. The story is based on the Jigna Vora book behind bars in byculla. The one journalist is murdered by the Chota Rajan gang and Jagruti will investigate the murder and be arrested and falsely accused of the crime.

Hansal Mehta wrote on his X, formerly known as Twitter, “We won! Karishma Tanna, who was in attendance at the ceremony, entered the spotlight to accept her prize. She was seen in a photo accepting her award on Hansal’s post. She looked lovely at the ceremony wearing a glittering black sari.

Indian actress, model, and anchor for Hindi television and movies, Karishma Tanna, was born on December 21, 1983. She collaborated on numerous serials, including Nagarjuna’s “Ek Yodha” and “Kyunki Saas bhi kabhi Bahu Thi.” She is well known for being a 2014 Big Boss participant. She reportedly tried to work in Bollywood following the TV series but was refused due to her height or her role in a daily soap. She made her acting debut in the 2005 movie Dosti: Friends Forever.
