Indian 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Kamal Hasan-Shankar’s Box Office Bomb Sinks into Single Digits, Mints Rs 65 CR

New Delhi: “Indian 2,” directed by Shankar and starring Kamal Hasan, had a disappointing performance at the box office on its fifth day, earning a total of Rs 65 crore. Despite a promising start with Rs 31 crore on its first day, the film struggled to maintain its momentum, especially in the non-Tamil markets 2-kamal-haasan-shankar-fi. The film’s collections have dropped significantly, indicating a lukewarm reception from the audience and critics alike

“Indian 2,” starring Kamal Hasan and directed by Shankar, experienced a significant decline in its box office collections, earning just Rs 3 crore on its fifth day. This brought its total five-day collection to Rs 65.15 crore domestically, and over Rs 117 crore globally

The film opened with Rs 25.6 crore on its first day but struggled to maintain momentum, particularly in the Hindi and Telugu markets. Its performance was particularly weak in the Hindi belt, where it failed to cross Rs 4 crore in five days

Comparatively, other recent Tamil films like Rajinikanth’s “Jailer” and Vijay’s “Leo” had much stronger openings, with Rs 48.35 crore and Rs 64.8 crore respectively on their first day. “Indian 2” is expected to face further challenges with the upcoming release of the Vicky Kaushal-led comedy “Bad Newz”.
