KBC 16: Contestant Krishna Selukar Stumped by RAW Chief Question
New Delhi: In the 13th episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 during Challenger Week, contestant Krishna Selukar took the hot seat after winning the ‘Jaldi 5’ round. Krishna, who spoke passionately about his desire to make his father proud and prove his worth, had a strong start on the show. He successfully answered 12 questions, securing Rs 12.5 lakh. However, the 13th question, worth Rs 25 lakh, posed a significant challenge.
The question was, “R.N. Kao, the first chief of RAW, helped President Kwame Nkrumah in setting up the intelligence service of which African nation?” The options provided were A: Libya, B: Ghana, C: Kenya, and D: Nigeria. Krishna found himself at a crossroads, as he had exhausted all his lifelines and was unsure of the correct answer. Rather than risk losing his hard-earned winnings, he decided to quit the game, taking home Rs 12,50,000. When host Amitabh Bachchan asked him to make a guess for the viewers, Krishna chose option B: Ghana. To his surprise, Big B revealed that it was indeed the correct answer, meaning he could have won Rs 25 lakh.
During his time on the show, a video was shown highlighting Krishna’s humble hostel life, where he shared a room with eight people and eight beds. Amitabh Bachchan, in a candid moment, shared his own experience, reminiscing about his youth when he had to share two beds among eight people, often leading to nightly disputes over who would sleep on the beds. This light-hearted exchange added a personal touch to the episode, making Krishna’s journey on KBC 16 both memorable and inspiring.
