Manasi Parekh Celebrates National Film Award Win For Best Actress
New Delhi: Manasi Parekh is overjoyed after winning the Best Actress award at the 70th National Film Awards for her performance in the 2023 Gujarati film Kutch Express. Still processing the news, she recalls how she first learned of her victory while on the set of her new film. “I got a message from Anand Tiwari saying ‘Congratulations on the National Award.’ I exclaimed, ‘What!’ I can’t believe it,” the 38-year-old actress shares, brimming with excitement.
With two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, Manasi views this award as a validation of her perseverance and dedication. “I work very hard, and I love what I do. This award feels like a vindication of all the struggle and hard work,” she says. What makes the win even more special is that Manasi, along with her husband, also produced Kutch Express. “It’s incredibly sweet because we poured our hearts into this project. I want to continue producing and acting in the best work possible,” she adds.
Manasi believes that this prestigious recognition will pave the way for future opportunities. “This win will make people realize that ‘these guys are legit.’ The success of my recent film Jhamkudi and now this award gives me both box office and critical acclaim.
