Delhi: Pakistani actress Mahira Khan celebrated her second marriage. She tied the knot with her longtime love, Salim Karim, in an intimate wedding ceremony. Mahira recently shared a series of photos from her mehendi ceremony. In these pictures, the actress, elegantly dressed in a yellow saree, was surrounded by her friends. She sat on an outdoor wooden swing adorned with a yellow mattress and cushions. One of the images provided a closer look at the mehendi design on the ‘Raees’ actress’ hands. Mahira expressed her gratitude to her fashion designer and dedicated a heartfelt note, saying, ‘My Khadija made this sari for me. Some fans described her as a ‘beautiful lady,’ while others professed their affection for every wedding picture she shared. Some even drew a connection to the ‘Kabira’ song from ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ upon seeing her photos.
In the first photo, Mahira posed with her friends as they all gathered around her. She sat outdoors on a wooden swing adorned with a yellow mattress and cushions. Mahira was dressed in a yellow saree with mirror work and matching blouse. She also wore matching bangles and tied her hair in a braid. All of them showed off their mehendi for the camera.
The second photo, a candid one, saw Mahira looking sideways as she tucked her hair behind her ears. In the second last photo, Mahira seemingly spoke to someone, not seen in the photo frame, as she turned her face away. In the last picture, Mahira and her friend smiled and gave a closer glimpse of their mehendi designs.
Previously, Mahira had announced her wedding on social media by sharing a picture of the newlywed couple standing under the bride’s veil, captioned ‘Bismillah.’ She had previously been married to Ali Askari in 2007, but the two separated in 2015.
