Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani Sequel Part 3 Announced on 10th Anniversary
New Delhi: The third part of the popular Mardaani franchise has been officially announced by production house YRF, marking a significant milestone on the film’s 10th anniversary. Rani Mukerji, who has starred as the fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in the previous two successful films, will reprise her role in Mardaani 3.
The Mardaani series has been celebrated for redefining the role of women in traditionally male-dominated fields, with Mukerji’s portrayal of Shivani Shivaji Roy serving as a powerful representation of strength and resilience. As a determined and courageous police officer, Shivani challenges gender norms and stands as a formidable force in the pursuit of justice.
Rani Mukerji expressed her pride and excitement about the franchise, stating, “I’m truly proud of my Mardaani franchise. It is a franchise that keeps on giving. The love, adulation, and respect that I have received from Mardaani is truly humbling.” She further elaborated on her connection with the character, saying, “Shivani Shivaji Roy is my most favorite on-screen character. Reflecting on her experience with the series, Mukerji admitted, “I was nervous when I did Mardaani 2, as I had never done a sequel before. However, I enjoyed reprising the role, and now I am excited to bring Shivani back for Mardaani 3.”
