Shah Rukh Khan’s security cover increased to Y+ category.

Delhi: Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s security has been increased after he complained about allegedly receiving death threats.

People who are at a high risk of threat perception are given Y-plus security, which consists of five armed guards at home and six personal security officers (PSOs) working three shifts around the clock.

Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) had informed all the police commissionerates, district police and special protection units (SPUs) in the state to provide “Y+ with an escort scale of security to Khan with immediate effect”.

Shah Rukh was recently seen in Jawan which has already minted ₹1103.27 crore gross at the worldwide box office. Directed by Atlee, the movie released worldwide on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The movie also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi with Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt in special appearances.

In addition to this, celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Anupam Kher have X category security coverage, which entitles them to three PSOs in three shifts 24 hours a day.
