Westlife Announce India Tour in November

Delhi: The Irish pop group will perform in Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Bengaluru between November 24th and 26th as part of The Wild Dreams Tour

About 20 years later, the Irish pop group Westlife will return to India, riding the nostalgia wave for live concerts from the early 2000s. The India leg of BookMyShow’s The Wild Dreams Tour, featuring vocalists Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Shane Filan, and Mark Feehily, is scheduled to take place in Mumbai on November 24, Bengaluru on November 25, and New Delhi on November 26.

Best known for their renditions of popular songs like “Uptown Girl” and “Seasons In The Sun,” plus their own songs like “World Of Our Own,” the quintet — originally including Brian McFadden — dominated airwaves globally when it came to English pop from the late Nineties and early 2000s. They performed at the MTV Immies in 2003 in India. While McFadden left in 2004 and the group announced a split in 2012, they reunited in 2018 and have since released albums like Spectrum and Wild Dreams

.One of a few musical acts from the late 1990s and early 2000s to take advantage of the country’s rekindled interest is the boy band, who recently announced a tour of the country. Backstreet Boys, an American pop group, gave two performances in India earlier this year. Blue, a British band, will also be there the next week for the Beatstreet event in New Delhi, while Ronan Keating, a member of Boyzone, will perform in three Indian cities in November.

While an exclusive pre-sale for Westlife concert tickets will start on September 15, general ticket sales will start at 4 p.m. IST on September 17. The starting price for a general admission ticket is 3,500, while the price for lounge access is 12,50.

“India has always held a special place in our hearts. We are so excited to share The Wild Dreams tour with all of our fans in India. Get ready for an unforgettable night of music and memories with us!” Westlife said in a statement.
