500 Eco-Friendly Ganesha idols prepared under one roof for the first time

Lucknow: Ganeshotsav is being observed nationwide, creating a festive and devoted atmosphere. To enhance the festive spirit, a workshop on crafting eco-friendly Ganesha idols from clay took place at Shalimar Gateway Mall on September 23rd. This event brought together 500 children in a single location. Notably, 120 of these children were from an NGO, offering them a valuable chance to develop and display their artistic talents. The purpose of the eco-friendly idol-making workshop was to acquaint children with the craft of sculpting Ganesha idols using clay sourced from the local area.

Children not only acquired hands-on experience with clay, but they also engaged deeply with enchanting tales of Ganesha. These budding learners enthusiastically joined the workshop, crafting exquisite Ganesha idols from clay and adorning them with imaginative designs. Through this experience, the children not only acquired a new artistic skill but also developed an appreciation for nature and gained an understanding of the significance of recycling and reusing.

Mr. Kunal Seth, Director Shalimar Corp. commenting on the successful workshop said, “We firmly believe in instilling the concept of environmental consciousness in the current generation and discussing with them the fusion of their enthusiasm for tree planting and crafting eco-friendly idols at home. This event aims to inspire the young leaders to advocate for an eco-conscious Ganesh Chaturthi, emphasizing the importance of ecological equilibrium and the reduction of pollution.”
