CAPSI’s Second Conference on Enhancing National Security Culture

New Delhi: The Central Association of Private Security Industry (CAPSI) is a premier organization representing the wider interests of 10 million guardsmen and women and 35 thousand private security agencies operating pan India. CAPSI is committed to promoting best practices, professional standards, and advocacy for the industry.

Building on the success of our inaugural Round Table held on March 15, 2024, which brought together esteemed individuals from the defence, police, corporate security sectors, academia, and civil society, we look forward to advancing these crucial discussions. The comprehensive plan developed during the first conference has garnered principal acceptance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

The Second Round Table Conference on National Citizens Security Culture, held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 3:00 pm at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.

Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman CAPSI & APDI said, “These Round Table conferences to evolve National Citizens Security Culture conferences serve as a platform to involve every stakeholder in a collaborative and inclusive manner. By bringing together individuals from various backgrounds, such as government officials, law enforcement agencies, community leaders, security professionals, corporate leaders and citizens, we aim to foster a collective understanding and cooperation towards enhancing national security. The ultimate goal of the Round Table conferences is to develop a comprehensive national strategy and an actionable working plan. By involving all stakeholders, we can ensure that everyone has a voice in shaping the future of our security culture”.

Sh. Rajneesh Gupta, IPS (Batch-2005)Joint Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Delhi, said, “Security is a significant challenge. There are numerous robberies happening in society, and even as the police, it is difficult for us to obtain the necessary permissions. Creating awareness is crucial. If this project fosters awareness, it will honour the Delhi Police.”

This forthcoming conclave will serve as a vital platform for 50 distinguished corporate security professionals from Kyndryl, Cushman & Wakefield; Delhivery; OP Jindal Global University; GMR Group; PVR INOX; Mercer; Protiviti; Fortis Healthcare, Boeing, Vedanta Ltd, 32nd Avenue, Urban Company, Shiv Nadar School, BML Munjal University, ICISSM, JK Cement and many more who will engage in substantive dialogue and share ideas to cultivate a collaborative environment that supports the development of a robust national security framework and promotes a dynamic security culture among citizens, a significant step forward in India’s ongoing efforts to protect its people and strengthen the social fabric.

Given their distinguished backgrounds and extensive experience in corporate security, the participation of these esteemed professionals will be instrumental in shaping the future of national security in India.

The Stay Alert, Stay Secure campaign under this initiative aims to implement a wide-ranging initiative to instil a sense of national security culture, employing a multi-faceted approach that includes methodologies, processes, public awareness events, government engagement, and active involvement from universities and civil society organizations. This initiative seeks to enhance citizens’ knowledge, skills, and awareness, empowering them to contribute to their safety and national security.

CAPSI firmly believes that the collective expertise of industry leaders and distinguished guests will significantly enhance our efforts to improve public safety. The contributions from these experienced professionals will be crucial to the conference’s success.
