Without hesitation, Captain Singh rushed into the inferno, saving several lives before becoming trapped himself. Despite his valiant efforts, he succumbed to severe burns sustained in the line of duty.
Smriti Singh, his grieving widow, accepted the Kirti Chakra on his behalf, reflecting on their last conversation the day before his passing. They had spoken eagerly about their future—dreams of building a home, raising children—a future that was tragically cut short by the events of the following day.
