Delhi colleges, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies and Lady Shri Ram College for Women, shine at HSBC’s India Business Case Programme

- Teams from these colleges will head to Hong Kong to participate in a programme
- A uniquely designed programme focusing on career preparedness of undergraduate students
- The programme sees participation from nearly 8,000 students
National: The 11th edition of HSBC’s career readiness initiative, The India Business Case Programme, concluded in March 2025. A one of its kind initiative, the programme offers a unique learning opportunity for youth to develop critical thinking, decision making, and communication skills through solving real-world business case studies. The National Round of the programme was inaugurated in Mumbai by Aloka Majumdar, MD, Global Head of Philanthropy and Head of Sustainability, India, HSBC, in the presence of HSBC India’s senior leadership. Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi and Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi were selected as the top two winners.
The programme, open for students in their penultimate or final year of undergraduate studies, saw nearly 2,000 teams (~8,000 students) from 160 colleges across 71 cities participating this year. This was a significant (2.5X times) increase over the previous years’ edition. The intensive programme comprised a series of trainings and immersions, providing a real-world business learning experience for the students. The top two teams will be participating at the HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition 2025 to be held in Hong Kong later this year.
The India Business Case Programme is supported by HSBC India and implemented by United Way of Mumbai, in partnership with Sattva Consulting and MindMap Consulting.

The programme aims to bring together theoretical knowledge and practical application, through real life business case studies. The comprehensive learning experience includes access to e-learning modules, hands-on workshops, mentorship, and interactions with C-suite executives. Business simulation is a new feature that is being added this year with an aim to provide participants with real – world experience in managing a business, enabling them to learn from both successes and failures within a controlled environment. This experience helps build knowledge application to solve real – world problems.
