Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals committed to dispose of public.

Delhi: The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals remains dedicated to promoting cleanliness initiatives and addressing public grievances and concerns within its jurisdiction, as raised by various members of Parliament.

In the second edition of a special campaign held in October 2022, the Department and its affiliated organizations conducted cleanliness drives at 164 locations across the country. This campaign extended beyond office premises and campuses, encompassing a wide range of significant public areas, thereby spreading the message of cleanliness to a broader audience.Subsequently, between November 2022 and August 2023, the Department successfully resolved 98% of public grievances within a six-month period, without any need for further appeals.

In December 2022, the Department reviewed and auctioned off a library of 4846 books that had been purchased over a decade ago. This initiative resulted in the recovery of 305 square feet of space, which was subsequently renovated for alternative purposes. Looking ahead to Special Campaign 3.0 in October 2023, the Department has prioritized the review of electronic files as a key focus area.
