Fortis Hospital, Anandapur hosts ‘PSYCH-ED 2023’
Kolkata: Fortis Hospital, Anandapur today organized the Zonal Finals of the 7th edition of its National Psychology quiz programme ‘PSYCH-ED, 2023’ and battled other schools in the zone to enter the National finals.
Psych-ED, the National level annual psychology quiz for school students organized by Fortis Healthcare, saw the participation of more than 880 schools in its 7th edition held earlier today. As the online round of Psych-ED went live, more than 11,000 participants from over 190 cities across India participated in the quiz simultaneously. The quiz is designed for students from Class XI & XII, aiming to test their knowledge of Psychology and its concepts. Psych-Ed 2023 was supported by G D Goenka University, Project CACA, Rupa Publications, IPN Foundation, GetAway Ice creams and Desserts with Lava Mobiles.
The quiz was conceptualized and executed under the aegis of Dr Samir Parikh, Chairperson – Fortis National Mental Health Program, Fortis Healthcare Limited. The objective of the quiz is to impart learning while ensuring that the discipline remains engaging and fun for the students. Speaking on this unique initiative, Dr Samir Parikh, said, “The purpose of our efforts is to advocate for a much larger cause – sensitization and de-stigmatisation of mental health and encouraging knowledge seeking on psychology for school students. The quiz is a unique way of learning with fun! Fortis Healthcare is one of the very few Healthcare Delivery institutions in the country prioritizing education on mental health”

- Modern High School International, Kolkata
- Sunbeam English School, Bhagwanpur, Varanasi
- Delhi Public School Newtown, Kolkata
- Sanskriti The Gurukul, Guwahati
- Calcutta International School, Kolkata
- Sunbeam School, Lahartara, Varanasi
- P.B. Academic School, Kolkata
- The Heritage School, Kolkata
- Delhi Public School, Varanasi
- The BSS School, Kolkata
- Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Kolkata
Winning team from Sunbeam School, Lahartara, Varanasi, comprising of Pallavi Kumari, Anshikaa Gupta, Samriddhi Nahar along with their teachers Arpit Tripathi & Poorna Majumdar said, “We are so excited to be going to Delhi! We’d like to thank our Psychology teacher the most- we were quite nervous, but our teachers believed in us and helped us prepare. Let’s get PSYCH-ED!”
