From Vows to Vacancies – Interest for Wedding Planners Grows by 70%

India, 26 February 2025: Indeed’s new data shows that job seeker interest in travel and hospitality roles jumped by 37% compared to the last wedding season (Nov’24-Jan’25). Weddings played a major role in this surge, fueling demand for resort managers, hotel staff, travel agents, banquet coordinators, and decorators. Among them, wedding planners stood out, with a staggering 70% increase in clicks, as more couples turned to professionals to orchestrate their big day.

Sashi Kumar, Head of Sales at Indeed India said “The wedding industry is creating a wave of new job opportunities.  As couples say ‘I do,’ the industry is saying ‘We’re hiring!’. The wedding industry is booming, and so is the demand for skilled professionals to support it.  We’re seeing a significant surge in interest in travel and hospitality roles, particularly those related to weddings, as couples increasingly seek professional help to create their dream celebrations.  This translates into exciting career opportunities within the sector.”
