G20 Summit: Gates Of These Delhi Metro Stations to Remain Shut On Sept 8 to 10.

Delhi: In preparation for the upcoming G-20 Summit scheduled for September 9 and 10 at the newly constructed Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, the head of the Delhi Police Metro unit has requested the Chief Security Commissioner to temporarily close specific metro station entrances along the VVIP routes from September 8 to 10.

In a directive issued on Sunday, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Delhi Metro outlined enhanced security measures at 39 metro stations. These measures include the closure of certain entry and exit gates, while other routes will continue to operate normally. According to officials, a total of 69 gates at these 39 metro stations will be closed on September 8 and 9.

According to the directive, several metro stations, including IGI Airport, Dwarka Sec-21, Moolchand, Kailash Colony, Lajpat Nagar, Ashram, Moti Bagh, Khan Market, Supreme Court, Munirka, IIT, Hauz Khas, Malviya Nagar, Greater Kailash, Bhikaji Cama Place, Kalkaji Mandir, Palam, Udyog Bhawan, Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Chaw, and others, will have their gates closed from September 8 to 10.Among these stations, Dhaula Kuan, Khan Market, Janpath, Supreme Court, and Bhikaji Cama Place have been categorized as sensitive, with all entry and exit gates to be shut during this period.
