Jaipur: In India, the Life Skills Collaborative (LSC), consisting of 18 organizations, is dedicated to empowering the youth by integrating essential life skills into education. They aim to enhance understanding, establish a common vocabulary, and implement context-specific assessments to drive systemic change in the educational landscape.

The LSC’s mission aligns seamlessly with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing holistic development beyond textbooks and exams. In this vision, life skills play a crucial role in shaping individuals capable of navigating the complexities of the 21st century and contributing meaningfully to society and the global community.

Speaking about the critical significance of life skills in today’s constantly evolving environment, Arjun Bahadur, Lead, Life Skills Collaborative expresses, “As we envision the India of tomorrow, it’s imperative that we view life skills as the cornerstone of our education system. This paradigm shift will prepare our nation’s young minds for life’s challenges, fostering resilience, creativity, and empathy. Fostering life skills, and integrating them as a part of mainstream education, is the pivotal link to shaping future leaders, problem solvers, and change-makers in the fast-changing uncertain tomorrow that our youth face.”
