Kumaraswamy Praises CPSEs’ Role in Chandrayaan-3 Mission

New Delhi: India marked its first-ever National Space Day on Friday, celebrating the historic achievement of ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 mission, which successfully made a soft landing on the lunar surface. On this momentous occasion, Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy highlighted the significant contributions of four Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under his ministry, which played a crucial role in making India’s lunar mission a success.

In a post on social media platform ‘X’, Kumaraswamy expressed his pride in the CPSEs’ involvement in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. He specifically mentioned Instrumentation Ltd. (IL), the Fluid Control Research Institute (FCRI), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), and Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT), all of which supplied essential products that were integral to the mission’s success.

“Four CPSEs under MHI—Instrumentation Ltd. (IL), FCRI, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), and Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT)—supplied essential products that were integral to the success of Chandrayaan-3,” Kumaraswamy stated.

These CPSEs, under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, have demonstrated the significant role that public sector enterprises can play in advancing the nation’s technological capabilities. Their contributions have not only supported ISRO in achieving this milestone but also underscored the importance of collaboration between various sectors in India’s space endeavors.

As the country continues to celebrate the success of Chandrayaan-3, the recognition of these CPSEs by the Union Minister serves as a reminder of the collective effort and expertise required to propel India’s space program to new heights.
