Mercedes-Benz India Records Best-Ever Sales in 2024, Strengthens Luxury and EV Portfolio

Lucknow: Mercedes-Benz India achieved its highest-ever annual sales in 2024, selling 19,565 units and recording a robust 12.4% growth compared to 2023. The luxury carmaker solidified its position as the most desirable brand in the Indian market, reaching the milestone of 200,000 vehicles sold since 1994, with the last 100,000 units delivered in just six years.

The brand’s Top-End Vehicles (TEV) segment experienced a remarkable 30% growth, with 1 in 4 cars sold in 2024 being a TEV. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz’s Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) sales surged by 94%, making it the leader in the luxury EV market. Two new BEVs were launched, including the locally manufactured EQS SUV 450 and the G-Class-inspired G580 with EQ technology, offering unparalleled luxury, performance, and sustainability.

To celebrate the 200,000 milestone, Mercedes-Benz announced INR 75 million for road safety initiatives and launched exclusive luxury retail collaborations, such as the “House of Mercedes-Benz” with Tata Cliq Luxury. The company also plans to expand its network with 20 new outlets in 2025.

Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz aims to launch 8 new models in 2025, with a strong focus on TEVs and BEVs. Franchise partners have committed INR 450+ crores for transforming outlets into global luxury formats.
