Mercedes-Benz launches its best-selling SUV, the New GLC, in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: India’s most desirable luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India today, launched the second generation of its much-awaited mid-size luxury SUV, the New GLC in Hyderabad. The New GLC was launched by Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Nalla Amith Reddy, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Silver Star in Hyderabad today. With more than 13,000 units on Indian roads since its debut, The New GLC is Mercedes-Benz India’s highest-selling luxury SUV. The upcoming GLC model is poised to establish an exceptionally high standard within its category, further reinforcing Mercedes-Benz India’s impressive lineup of SUVs. This lineup includes the GLA, GLC, GLE, GLS, GLS Maybach, and the G-Class. Packed with various upgraded features now included as standard, new efficient engines, the latest NTG-7 telematics system, and enhanced driving dynamics, the new GLC is set to maintain its track record of success in the Indian market.

Hyderabad is an important market for Mercedes-Benz India: Hyderabad has remained one of Mercedes-Benz’s key markets in India with more than 10% sales contribution to national sales. During the first half of 2023 (January-June), sales in Hyderabad experienced a 10% growth, setting the stage for a robust double-digit expansion throughout the remainder of the year.  The demand for Top-End Vehicles (TEV) in Hyderabad surged by an impressive 40%, highlighting the increasing popularity of premium Mercedes-Benz models such as GLS, S-Class, Maybach, AMGs, and EQS. The SUVs however remain the most preferred body type for customers in Hyderabad, with the GLA, GLE and GLS being the popular SUVs. Hyderabad stands as a distinctive market for Mercedes-Benz due to its remarkable 30% share of female buyers, one of the highest ratios across the country.
