No Online Delivery from Sept 8 to 10 in Central Delhi.

Delhi: The G20 Leaders’ Summit is set to take place on September 9-10 at the newly constructed international convention and exhibition center known as Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Given the high-profile nature of the G20 meeting, several restrictions will be imposed in the New Delhi district, including the suspension of all online delivery and commercial services during this period.

This means that cloud kitchens, businesses, markets, food delivery services, and e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart will not be allowed to operate within the controlled zone, and their services will be halted for three days in the New Delhi district. Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic), SS Yadav, made this announcement during a press conference on September 4.

However, it’s important to note that the delivery of essential medical items, including lab reports and sample collections, will continue to be permitted throughout the city. Vehicles serving hotels, hospitals, and other important facilities in the New Delhi District, engaged in tasks such as housekeeping, catering, and waste disposal, will be allowed to operate after undergoing verification, according to Mr. Yadav.

Mr. Yadav also clarified that, except for the Supreme Court station, metro services will not be disrupted. There may be temporary closures of station gates for 10-15 minutes due to VIP movements and security measures. However, these disruptions will only occur at Pragati Maidan (Supreme Court) station, and metro services at other stations will remain unaffected.

In addition, it’s worth noting that all Central government offices in the national capital will be closed from September 8 to 10 in light of the G20 summit.
