2024 Creta Facelift Launch: Hyundai’s Anticipated Timeline Revealed.

New Delhi: The anticipated launch date for the 2024 Creta facelift in India is January 16, 2024, marking the first redesign for the second-generation Creta introduced in mid-2020. Notably, the India-specific Creta will feature distinct styling from its global counterpart. The 2023 Creta is expected to showcase redesigned LED DRLs and headlights, providing a more boxy appearance, with a slatted grille featuring pronounced inserts for a robust aesthetic. While the sheet metal’s profile may see minimal changes, new alloy wheels are anticipated, along with split-LED tail lamps featuring dynamic turn indicators.

Although the 2024 Creta’s dashboard remains undisguised, it is expected to incorporate various new features, including USB Type-C chargers for rear seat occupants, a 360-degree camera system, and potential Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), suggested by the radar on the bumper. Hyundai aims to introduce the more powerful 160PS 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, replacing the discontinued 1.4-liter unit, likely paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT, following the Verna’s trend.

While the existing 1.5-liter diesel and naturally aspirated petrol engines are expected to continue unchanged, the comprehensive updates suggest a potential significant price increase compared to the current model’s Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag. The 2024 Creta will continue to compete with rivals such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor.
