500 km Cycling Journey by HCL Employees to Mark 47 Years of HCL.
Lucknow: A group of enthusiastic HCL employees set off on an impressive 500 km cycling journey from Noida to Lucknow to commemorate HCL’s 47th anniversary. This ride not only honored HCL’s beginnings in 1976 as a groundbreaking IT startup in India but also symbolized the company’s remarkable evolution from a local Uttar Pradesh venture to a dominant global tech leader. With a revenue of US $12.8 Billion and a worldwide presence boasting over 223,438 skilled individuals, encompassing 60 nations, this journey served as a testament to HCL’s extraordinary growth.
The riders started their journey from HCL Corporate Office Sector – 3 Noida at 6:30 am on 9th August 2023 and reached HCL IT City in Lucknow on 11th August by 11:00 am. During the ride, cyclists had two designated rest stops for relaxation at Shikohabad and Kanpur.
They were at all times accompanied by an HCL vehicle which ensured their safety and travel-related needs such as water, food, technician, tools and other cycling accessories.
This initiative by HCL aims to create a positive impact in the communities by motivating individuals to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle and taking up cycling as a lifestyle choice.
Earlier this year, HCL arranged its inaugural Noida HCL Cyclothon, which witnessed participation from over 1000 participants.
