“Academic Excellence of the Year” Celebrated at River Heights Society

Ghaziabad, July 2025 – In a heartwarming initiative to recognize and celebrate young talent, the Art and Culture Wing of River Heights AOA hosted its first-ever “Academic Excellence of the Year” event at the River Heights Society premises. Nearly 40 outstanding students from Classes 10 and 12 were honored for their exceptional academic performance, marking a proud and memorable evening for the community.

The event aimed to acknowledge the academic achievements of society’s youth and inspire a tradition of recognizing excellence in academics, arts, culture, and sports. It also fostered a spirit of motivation and togetherness among students, parents, and residents, setting the tone for future educational and cultural celebrations in the society.

The chief guest, Professor Shri Ram Oberoi, retired from Delhi University, addressed the gathering with an encouraging message. He motivated the students to maintain their academic dedication and emphasized the importance of consistent government support to improve education standards across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anukesh Sharma, Joint Secretary of River Heights AOA, said, “This is the first such event in the past 15 years, and it’s only the beginning. We plan to continue recognizing our students—not just in academics, but also in arts, sports, and cultural achievements. These young achievers are the pride of our community.”

The event was hosted and coordinated by Mrs. Bakul Mangla, organising team head and team members as Mrs. Geetanjali Singh, Mrs. Chhavi Garg, Mrs. Deepshikha Singh, Mrs. Meenakshi, and Mrs. Alka Gautam.

The program also witnessed the presence of key AOA members including Mr. Gaurav Vermani (President), Mr. O. P. Nirwan (Vice President), and committee members Mr. Rajeev Garg, Mr. Jitendra Gautam, Mr. Alok Sharma, and Mr. Shekhar Anand.
