Ducati Scrambler based Street Tracker concept unveiled
New Delhi: Ducati has unveiled two new concept motorcycles at the 2024 Bike Shed Moto Show in London. The CR241 and RR241 concepts are based on the Ducati Scrambler and both follow a different design language.
Ducati’s RR241 concept takes inspiration from post-apocalyptic TV shows, featuring a more rugged setup than the standard Scrambler on which it is based. This concept motorcycle embodies a street tracker-like aesthetic, highlighted by a high-pass Termignoni exhaust, a short front fender, and cross-spoked wheels. The RR241’s unique design includes stripped tank covers replaced with a frame to attach a tank bag, enhancing its practical utility. Additionally, the pillion seat is removable and can be swapped for a luggage rack, further emphasizing its versatility. The right side of the rear is dominated by the exhaust, while the left side is designed to accommodate a jerry can, adding to its rugged, utilitarian appeal.
The motorcycle is equipped with an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, both fitted with Pirelli Scorpion rally tires, enhancing its off-road capabilities. Powered by the same 803cc L-twin engine that drives the Scrambler range, the RR241 maintains the performance and reliability expected from Ducati. While Ducati has not provided any updates on the production status of this concept, the RR241 prototype could potentially join the Scrambler lineup as a new variant, bringing a fresh, rugged option to enthusiasts.
