Jawan Box Office Day 1: SRK Film Earns Rs 75 Cr, Becomes Highest Bollywood Opener of All Time.
Delhi: Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent film, had a phenomenal opening weekend. The film, which opened in theaters on Thursday (September 7) in time for Janmashtami, broke all prior records and became the greatest Hindi opening of all time, surpassing SRK’s most recent film, Pathaan.
Following a record-breaking advance booking, Jawan earned Rs 75 crore net in India. On the other side, Pathaan, SRK’s final release this year, made Rs 57 crore net on its opening day.
Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 had earned about Rs 40 crore on its first day and a massive Rs 55.40 crore on the Independence Day holiday.
Shah Rukh Khan’s actioner ‘Jawan‘ released worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani while Deepika Padukone is seen in an extended cameo.
The actor plays both an intelligence officer and a thief in the movie, which is billed as a commercial comedy. Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad were used as locations for the movie.
