Mahindra XUV700 Diesel 7-Seater Now Priced from Rs 15 Lakh

New Delhi: Mahindra is making the seven-seat version of the XUV700 more accessible by introducing it in the entry-level MX variant. Priced at Rs 15 lakh with the diesel engine, the XUV700 MX 7-seater undercuts the AX3 7-seater by Rs 3 lakh. Mechanically and feature-wise, the new three-row variant is the same as the XUV700 MX 5-seater.

The new seven-seat variant of the Mahindra XUV700 MX, featuring a 2.2-litre diesel engine, is priced at Rs 15 lakh, which is Rs 40,000 higher than the five-seat version costing Rs 14.60 lakh. This seven-seater model shares all its equipment with the two-row version, including an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto, four speakers, a 7-inch multi-information display (MID) with analogue dials, multiple USB ports, tilt-adjustable steering, a center armrest with storage, adjustable headrests for four passengers, follow-me-home headlamps, powered ORVMs, and ISOFIX anchors. Additionally, it is likely to feature third-row AC vents, a second-row center armrest, and a 60:40 one-touch tumble function, consistent with other seven-seat trims. The vehicle will be available in the same five color options: Everest White, Midnight Black, Dazzling Red, Red Rage, and Napoli Black. Mechanically, the XUV700 MX 7-seater remains identical to the 5-seater version. Both are powered by the same 156hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Given that the MX 5-seater is also offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, it is expected that the 7-seater variant will have this option as well. With the introduction of this new entry-level trim, Mahindra aims to make the XUV700 range both more accessible and more premium. This move follows the recent launch of the higher-spec XUV700 Blaze. The starting prices for Mahindra’s large three-row SUV now undercut competitors like the Tata Safari, which starts at Rs 16.19 lakh, and the seven-seat diesel version of the MG Hector Plus, priced at Rs 17 lakh. Overall, the new seven-seat variant of the XUV700 MX provides an affordable and feature-rich option in the competitive SUV market, reinforcing Mahindra’s position as a leading SUV specialist.
