Maruti Suzuki Swift Set for May Debut, Unveils Exciting Details!

New Delhi: The Maruti Suzuki Swift is a highly popular hatchback in India, renowned for its dynamic styling, comfortable interiors, and dependable performance. Presently priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 9.03 lakh (ex-showroom), it features a robust 1.2-litre K-Series Dual-Jet Dual-VVT engine delivering 90PS and 113Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT, with a CNG variant available alongside the manual transmission option. The claimed mileage stands at 22.38kmpl for petrol MT, 22.56kmpl for petrol AMT, and an impressive 30.90km/kg for CNG.

The upcoming fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is scheduled for launch in India during the first half of May 2024, potentially around the second week. Initially showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, it has been undergoing road tests in India. Notable exterior updates include a revamped front with redesigned grille, headlights, boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, and new fog lamps. The side profile retains its familiar look but boasts new alloy wheels, while the rear showcases fresh LED taillamps, a restyled bumper, and tailgate. Additionally, the car features a 360-degree camera setup with cameras strategically placed on the grille, tailgate, and ORVMs.

Inside, the cabin design draws inspiration from the company’s current model line-up, incorporating the climate control unit and infotainment system from the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The steering wheel design remains unchanged. Although the Swift concept showcased ADAS and ventilated front seats at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, it’s unlikely these features will be included in the India-spec model at launch. The instrument panel retains its analogue layout.

The pricing for the new Maruti Suzuki Swift is anticipated to exceed that of the current model. The new Swift promises more striking exteriors, enhanced comfort, improved safety features, and advanced technology, reaffirming its status as a compelling choice for Indian car buyers.
