New Porsche Panamera Hits Indian Roads; Deliveries Start Today !
New Delhi: The all-new Porsche Panamera is set to hit Indian roads today, marking the debut of the third-generation model in the country. Porsche announced that deliveries will commence shortly after the unveiling of the new Panamera on the international stage. The Indian variant will be exclusively offered with a V6 engine and is priced at Rs 1.7 crore.
Under the hood, the new Panamera V6 is powered by a 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine, delivering 353hp and 500Nm of torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, propelling the car from 0 to 100kph in 5.1 seconds with a top speed of 272kph. Notably, the Panamera now features adaptive air suspension, branded as Active Suspension Management (PASM), as standard.
The listed price of Rs 1.7 crore is exclusive of additional options and accessories, although it includes features like matrix LED headlights, parking assistance, a driving mode selector on the steering wheel, a full-HD 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a cooled smartphone compartment with wireless charging, 8-way adjustable electric seats, and six airbags. An optional extra is a 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger display.
In its V6 configuration, the Panamera doesn’t have a direct competitor in the Indian market. However, once Porsche introduces the V8 variants, they will rival the Rs 3.3 crore Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 4-door Coupe. Notably, hybrid versions of the Panamera are not slated for release in the country.
