Nissan Motor India Appoints Saurabh Vatsa as Deputy Managing Director.

Saurabh Vatsa will report to Rakesh Srivastava.

New Delhi: Nissan Motor India has recently appointed Saurabh Vatsa as Deputy Managing Director, as announced by the company. Vatsa will directly report to the Managing Director, Rakesh Srivastava.

Previously, Vatsa held the position of Brand Head for Citroen India at Stellantis, where he was also a part of the leadership team. With over two decades of experience at General Motors, Vatsa has worked in various crucial leadership roles and undertook long-term assignments in South Korea. His expertise extends to strategic business functions including product planning, program management, sales planning, marketing, communications, and retail/commercial sales.

Frank Torres, President of Nissan India Operations, expressed excitement about Vatsa joining the team as Deputy Managing Director during this critical phase for the company. The appointment signifies Nissan’s strategic move as they approach the year 2024.

“We are excited to onboard Saurabh at Nissan Motor India as Deputy Managing Director at this crucial juncture for the company as we head into 2024,” said Frank Torres, President, Nissan India Operations.

“His appointment underpins our commitment to invest USD 600 million (Rs 5,300 crore) in India as part of the Alliance and introduce more products for the Indian consumer as part of the transformation plan. We are certain, the next phase of growth for Nissan is going to be exciting for all of us as we build on the success of the Nissan Magnite,” he added.
