Regus Grows in Punjab: New Offices for Flexible Work

Jalandhar : IWG, the leading provider of flexible work solutions, has opened a new state-of-the-art workspace in Jalandhar, Punjab. This expansion reflects the increasing demand for hybrid work options across the state. IWG’s other brands, including Spaces and Regus, are also included in this initiative.

Situated in the heart of Jalandhar, the new center offers premium workspace solutions for local professionals. With a focus on convenience, this location allows workers to enjoy a “15-minute city” experience, minimizing commutes and improving work-life balance.

The center caters to various workstyles by providing fully equipped day offices, private offices of different sizes, and large suites. All spaces are move-in ready, featuring complete furnishings and a secure IT infrastructure.

This launch reinforces IWG’s commitment to providing innovative workspace solutions that cater to the evolving needs of today’s workforce. The center welcomes established businesses and startups across various sectors, including IT, telecom, pharmaceuticals, and logistics.

This expansion follows a record year for IWG, with significant revenue growth and over 850 new workspace additions globally in 2023. IWG collaborates with property owners and developers to transform traditional spaces into modern, productive work environments, generating sustainable revenue streams for its partners. Notably, 95% of IWG’s new locations involve partnerships with property owners, highlighting a collaborative approach.

IWG invests heavily in its technology platform, providing partners with access to their expertise, design support, and sales & marketing capabilities. This ensures a successful launch and ongoing operation of each workspace.

Harsh Lambah, Country Manager India and Vice President – Sales, IWG, commented: “We are excited to expand in Punjab, with our current footprint in Chandigarh and Zirakpur, and the addition of a new workspace in Jalandhar. Our plan is to further expand into other cities such as Mohali, Ludhiana, and Patiala, to strengthen IWG’s growing footprint in North India, especially in Punjab. The new center will offer a mix of flexible workspace rentals, including office spaces and office suites that can be rented on a long-term basis and customized as per client branding and layout.”

The demand for office space in Jalandhar has surged, with inquiries for IWG locations increasing steadily throughout 2023. This trend highlights the potential of smaller Indian cities to become hubs for hybrid work models in certain sectors. Studies indicate that a significant portion of the remote workforce is employed in project coordination or assistant roles within technology, media, and telecom sectors, often located in regional towns and cities.

As companies embrace hybrid work models, the demand for flexible workspace is expected to explode. Predictions suggest that by 2030, 30% of all commercial real estate will be dedicated to flexible workspaces. This shift offers companies significant cost savings, with estimates suggesting an average saving of $11,000 per employee.
