Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will launch this year
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: details
New Delhi: Royal Enfield has six new models in the pipeline for the financial year. The first of these is the Guerrilla 450, which will be launching sometime between July – September 2024. The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been observed undergoing testing both within India and abroad, showcasing a design ethos that combines minimalist aesthetics with a neo-retro appeal, particularly as a roadster. Notably, its distinct features include a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a unified single-piece seat, and a slender tail section. Similar to the latest Himalayan model, the Guerrilla 450 integrates its tail lamp within the turn indicators.
Regarding its powertrain, the Guerrilla 450 is anticipated to inherit the engine from the Himalayan, with output figures expected to align closely with its adventure-oriented counterpart – approximately 40 horsepower and 40Nm of torque. Noteworthy deviations from the Himalayan include the utilization of a conventional telescopic fork instead of a USD unit. Furthermore, the Guerrilla 450 opts for tubeless alloy wheels in lieu of the Himalayan’s tubed 21/18-inch wire-spoke wheels, both likely sized at 17 inches for front and rear configurations.
It remains to be seen if the Guerrilla 450 will use the Tripper TFT display from the Himalayan or whether it will use the simpler digi-analogue display from the Super Meteor 650. What has been clearly visible is that the Guerrilla gets the LED headlight that’s becoming increasingly common across Royal Enfield’s lineup. Considering that the Guerrilla 450 misses out on some premium hardware and features compared to the Royal Enfield Himalayan, we expect it to be priced somewhere around the Rs 2.40 lakh – Rs 2.50 lakh price bracket (ex-showroom). When it launches it will go up against the popular Triumph Speed 400 (Rs 2.33 lakh), Honda CB300R (Rs 2.40 lakh) and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (Rs 2.92 lakh).
